The need for the VEAP Food Shelf continues to grow:
Poverty levels in suburbs have surpassed those in cities.
In recent years the number of clients has increased by 10%.
Approximately 45% of the clients that are served are children.
VEAP Food Programs offer necessary sustenance, discreet shopping opportunities, and a much needed reduction in grocery costs.
We at St. Michael’s have been partnering with VEAP to provide relief, hope and support.
These are our neighbors right here in Bloomington:
- The family about to lose a home or trying to survive after job loss.
- The elderly in need of sustenance.
- The disabled in need of a helping hand.
- Children that would go without a meal.
